The Lakes

The lakes were constructed 32 years ago, set within private grounds of eleven acres. Much work has been done to achieve a wonderful Carp fishery. There are 2 lakes, Spring Lake is 4.5 acres with depths from 2ft to 7ft, spring fed with no snags and a silt bottom.

Wood View Lake is over an acre and currently holds over 100 small carp which have been selected especially for their fast growth rate. Namely the royale mirror strain, and C4 and C5 strains of carp. This lake is ideal for youngsters and novices

The growth rate in these spring fed waters is amazing, over 2 kgs per year.

Night fishing also permitted.

Most of the fish in the main lake are 15-40 lbs (mirrors, leather and common carp) There is one catfish of around 40lbs.

However, we will be another batch of new fish to the lake in Oct/Nov 2008. This will include some large Carp and large Catfish. We will keep you updated on developments.

We have also have another lake which is being stocked but which is not yet open for fishing.

The best of Carp fishing holidays in France

In October 2007 the lakes were drained by professional fish farmers to remove all unwanted Carp that were below 20lbs. Nearly a 1000 kilos of small Carp and Roach were removed.

The lakes are surrounded by beautiful countryside and woods. Fishing is exclusively for you when you hire the Villa. A maximum of 8 people are permitted per holiday. A maximum of 5 anglers on Spring Lake and 2 anglers on Wood View Lake.
