Miarlet Lakes FRENCH CARP FISHING HOLIDAYS     Ski-ing at Le Mont-Dore Le Mont-Dore is located at the foot of the magnificent Puy de Sancy (1,886m high), the highest summit in the Massif Central. Now linked with nearby Super Besse, the two resorts share 85km of runs for all abilities, with 42km of runs at Mt Dore if the link lift via Ferrand is closed. The ski area opens as soon as snow cover permits.  Official season from 01/12/08 to 26/04/09 Night skiing from 17h00 to 21h00, every Saturday and every day during school holidays. (Correct at time of writing. Le Mont-Dore is just 40 minutes drive away.   On the North side of Sancy, is the resort of Le Mont-Dore.  It is situated at the foot of the magnificent Puy de Sancy (1886 m high), peaking point of Massif Central. This side is suitable for all skiers, from the steep slopes to the easily accessible runs. Le Mont-Dore was one of the first resort classified as winter sports resort.
